The Virginia Rural IT Apprenticeship Grant Program
Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center
Drive Growth with Funding for Skilled Apprentices!
Administered by the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, this program is designed to empower rural IT businesses. We provide funding for dedicated apprentices — enhancing the skills of IT professionals and contributing to the growth of your IT company.
If your business is headquartered in Southside or Southwest Virginia and employs fewer than 100 people, this program is tailor-made for you!
Why Join the Rural IT Apprenticeship Program?
- Funding for Growth: Each apprenticeship sponsor can receive funding for up to five years. This means you can develop your workforce with confidence, knowing the resources are in place for sustained success.
- A Powerful Community Investment: This isn’t just a training program – it’s an investment in your business and your community. Together, we can build a stronger, more innovative rural Virginia.
- One-on-One Mentorship: Our program combines on-the-job training with mentorship, providing an immersive experience that enhances both the skills of apprentices and your business capabilities.
