The Board of Trustees of the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center will hold its biannual meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Higher Education Center, One Partnership Circle, Abingdon, Virginia.

Members of the public may witness the proceedings in-person or via live stream. Livestream access details will be posted at https://www.swcenter.edu/leadership/ by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11.  In the event of interruption of access due to a technical problem, the public may notify the Higher Education Center by calling 276-619-4300.

Public comment will be received at approximately 3:50 p.m.  Persons wishing to address the Board must contact Kathy Hietala no later than June 4 to be placed on the meeting agenda.  Those wishing to make public comments by remote electronic means must also contact Kathy Hietala by June 4 in order to receive meeting access information.

Public comments will also be accepted in written form.  Written comments must be sent by email to Kathy Hietala, kh******@******er.edu, or mailed to Kathy Hietala, Office of the Executive Director, 1 Partnership Circle, Abingdon, VA  24210.  Written public comments must be received by Monday, June 8 at 5:00 p.m. and will become a part of the public record for the meeting.
