The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center’s Spring K5 STEM Academy recently concluded with a graduation celebration recognizing the hard work and accomplishments of its young participants. The program, which ran throughout the month of April, provided elementary school students with an engaging, hands-on learning experience focused on STEM education.

During the academy, students participated in a variety of interactive experiments and activities, including programming robots, exploring the concepts of energy and mass, and more. These hands-on lessons were designed to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of the principles behind science, technology, engineering, and math.

Looking ahead, the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center is excited to announce that the Fall K5 STEM Academy will take place from October 21 to November 18. Visit our website for more details!
