A. Linwood Holton Governor’s School, a regional virtual dual enrollment program housed at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, was recently featured by Blue Ridge PBS, highlighting the opportunities it provides for high school students across Southwest Virginia.
The Governor’s School gives students access to college-level courses that may not be available through their home high schools, allowing them to earn college credit while exploring subjects beyond their local curriculum. While most instruction takes place virtually, students also come together at the Higher Ed Center throughout the year for labs and other hands-on learning experiences.
We’re grateful to Blue Ridge PBS for choosing to spotlight A. Linwood Holton Governor’s School and helping share the story of this impactful regional partnership.
