Mount Rogers Regional Adult Education, located at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, serves learners across Washington, Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Wythe counties and the cities of Bristol and Galax. The program provides leadership and support for adult education and literacy services with a focus on high-quality family literacy and workplace education. Learners can prepare for the GED Test, participate in the National External Diploma Program, and earn work ready certifications. All classes and testing services are offered free of charge.

Do you offer online classes?
Our classes combine in-person and online components. Students attend an initial in-person session for enrollment and assessment, and then continue their coursework online with guidance from instructors. Independent online work between sessions is also encouraged.
