Southwest Virginia Healthcare Leaders Convene to Strengthen Regional Workforce

Leaders from colleges, healthcare organizations, and workforce development agencies across Southwest Virginia gathered last week at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center for an interactive partnership meeting aimed at strengthening the region’s healthcare pipeline.

The event featured keynote speaker John Jeter, CEO of Johnston Memorial Hospital and Bristol Regional Medical Center with Ballad Health, who shared insights on workforce challenges and opportunities in the local healthcare sector.

Attendees participated in discussions and planning sessions focused on strategies to recruit, train, and retain healthcare professionals in the region.

The Center continues to serve as a hub for initiatives that bring together education, healthcare, and workforce partners to support long-term regional growth. Click here to learn more about how we’re working to strengthen the healthcare pipeline in the region.
