The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center is proud to be leading a regional partnership between educators, employers, and other stakeholders to improve health and health access in Southwest Virginia and increase healthcare training opportunities in the region.

The kickoff meeting for this initiative took place on March 18 and included over 60 attendees and presentations from key speakers, including Dr. Bill Hazel of Claude Moore Opportunities and Dr. Caroline Sutter from George Mason University’s Center for Health Workforce.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 10,2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Higher Education Center.
