Regional Simulation Lab Nears Completion, Ribbon Cutting Set for March 26

Construction on the Center’s new Regional Simulation Lab is nearly complete, marking a major step forward for hands-on workforce training in the region. Designed to closely replicate real-world healthcare environments, the lab will provide students and professionals with immersive, high-impact learning experiences.

The simulation lab features an ambulance simulator, a fully equipped surgery room, and four patient bays that mirror the layout and function of a modern hospital. An additional immersion room enhances training by incorporating realistic sights, sounds, and even smells to simulate emergency and clinical scenarios. The space is also equipped with advanced AI-powered manikins that allow learners to practice critical skills, decision-making, and teamwork in a controlled setting.

To celebrate the completion of the project, the Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially unveil the new simulation lab on Thursday, March 26. Community partners, educators, and stakeholders are invited to attend and help mark this exciting milestone for regional education and workforce development.
