Registration: As of July 1, 2009, the University of Virginia implemented a new student information system. Students registering through the School of Continuing and Professional Studies will find changes in registration and payment procedures. How will I register for my courses?
The student information system (SIS) creates the University’s system for admitting and registering students and collecting tuition.  Go to
http://www.scps.virginia.edu/register/ and complete enrollment form and registration form; mail to UVA-SW Center, P.O. Box 1987, Abingdon, VA  24212 or FAX to 276-619-4309.

Spring Semester 2010

K – 12 Educators*            $705                                                                    
Graduate                        $867            $1650 
TV Engineering                $1230          $2010

*The University of Virginia offers a special graduate professional development credit course tuition rate to Virginia residents who are currently employed full time by a preK – 12 Virginia public school system, a Virginia private school system accredited by the Virginia Council for Private Education, or a Virginia licensed preK-12 residential school.  Qualifying students are eligible for the special graduate rate for up to three credit hours per semester.                                                                                                                                


Course Fees:

      Comprehensive Fee: $5 per credit hour for each credit course registration

      Returned Check Fee: $20


Application Fees: 

     Certificate Programs   $25


Tuition refunds: All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the UVA Southwest Center office. Notifying the instructor does not constitute an official request to drop the class. A full refund will be made automatically if a course must be canceled due to insufficient enrollment. The amount of refund will vary depending on how many times the class has met.  Call the UVA Southwest Center for a refund schedule that applies to your course.
