It’s your life: Take credit for it! The DSST credit-by-exam program provides a way to assess what you have learned through life experience, and it is recommended for credit by the American Council on Education. DSST offers 38 exams across a broad range of subject areas. • The total cost for a DSST is $115.00 with two separate payments.
• The registration fee of $35.00 is non-refundable, and may be made by personal credit/debit card online.
The test fee of $80.00 must be paid separately by credit/debit card online and is charged per test.
• Examinees have a maximum of 2 hours to complete the test.
IMPORTANT: You must bring two forms of identification. The primary form must be a government-issued photo ID with a signature, such as a passport, state-issued driver’s license or ID card, tribal identification document, naturalization card, or certificate of citizenship. The secondary form must have either a photo or signature, such as a Social Security card, student ID, credit card, or employee identification badge.

Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators and Onsite Sewage System Professionals Exam

The Board for Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators and Onsite Sewage System Professionals (WWWOOSSP Board) transferred administration of licensing examinations to National Testing Network (NTN) at the end of 2014.

FOR APPLICANTS: The new exam vendor is now scheduling exams for Board-approved Virginia candidates.

VISIT: for more details from the new exam vendor, including FAQs and Candidate Information Bulletins.

EXAMINATION: Applicants must submit forms directly to the Board at DPOR. Applications submitted to the exam vendor will be returned to the applicant and require re-submission to the Board for processing.
