The College for Older Adults at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, Abingdon, Virginia Begins the fall term September 9, 2014

The College for Older Adults (COA) at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center announces the fall term for noncredit classes beginning Tuesday, September 9, 2014 and ending October 16, 2014.

Classes are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning at 10am with special classes and field trips offered on Mondays and Fridays. The classes are open to anyone 50 years or older and the tuition is $40.00 which entitles one to attend as many classes as he/she
wishes. The COA is offering over 40 courses ranging from “Great Movies”, “Successful Aging”, “Native American History and Culture”, “Maps”, “Introduction to the Computer and Internet”, “Genealogy on the Internet” , “The Legend of King Arthur”, “The Lost Art of Cooking”, “Beginning German”, “The Problem with Evil” – just to name a few. Arts Array passes can be purchased by members of the COA at a reduced price of $30.00. There will be 14 movies shown in the series.
