Accessing Archived Classes

We recognize that there may be times when students miss class. Distance learning classes are now archived for the students’ convenience. To access a missed class:

Go to www.odu.edu
Click on Distance Learning from the menu to the left of the screen.
Click on Find A Course
Click on Videostream Launch Page
Select the appropriate semester from the semester options at the bottom.
The classes are listed in alphabetical order. Find the class and click on it.
A new page will open and a log-in will appear. Use MIDAS ID and password.

“Displaced” Students Registration Procedures

ODU sites have closed operations recently, leaving “in progress” students without an ODU home. ODU has made special arrangements for these students to complete their ODU programs through other ODU sites by allowing them to take video streaming courses to complete their programs.

There is a special registration process for “displaced” students. This process is deadline sensitive, so students must plan ahead. Students must look at the online schedule of classes as soon as it is posted, decide on the courses they want to video stream (after getting advised by their Site Directors), and complete a Drop/Add form, filling out all the information EXCEPT for the CRN for the course. This form, along with an attached Cover Sheet, is forwarded to main campus at dlregistration@odu.edu for processing. This action MUST be completed prior to the special deadline each semester to ensure that these students can be enrolled in the special video streaming section. This process is used ONLY for courses which displaced students want to take via video streaming! If they are taking classes online and/or through Teletechnet at their home site, they register for those themselves through Leo Online.

ODU Disabled Veterans Scholarship

Old Dominion University is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for DOD military personnel who have been severely injured or disabled in the line of duty. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,000, and will be applied toward the cost of tuition for degree programs at Old Dominion University for either full-time or part-time study. Military Spouse Career Advancement Account

The Department of Defense (DoD) is expanding the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) initiative to provide financial assistance to eligible military spouses seeking licensing, credentials and/or education for future or continued employment in portable career fields. Spouses married to an active duty or activated Guard or Reserve Service member are eligible to participate in MyCAA.
