SUBJECT:      Online Courses

 

 

Sin Since we have several students participating in online classes, I wanted to be in contact with you to offer some advice.     We do want your experience to be a good one so do let us know if you experience problems, have questions, etc.  Do not make the mistake of waiting to hear from someone before you start your class because this will not happen.

 

 

 Th The Computer Resource Center, at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, is available to you.  We do have computer technicians available to assist as needed.  If you need to print you may bring your own paper or buy paper at the information desk.  A printer is available to you.

 

 

· S  Fall 2010 semester begins August 28, 2010; therefore; your classes will begin on August 28.

 

 

· Y You need to set up an ODU Midas/email account because your instructors and our office will use email to communicate with you.  If you need assistance with this, please come by and let us help you.

 

· A Access your syllabi online, which will provide the name and contact information for your instructor as well as information about your course requirements.  Your syllabi can be found online in Blackboard for most classes. 

 

 

·If  If for any reason, you decide to drop a course, you must do so officially by the add/drop date If you do not drop the course officially, you WILL BE responsible for tuition and fees—plus late fees and possibly collection fees.  In addition, you should notify your instructor to avoid receiving an “F” in the course.  Contact our office regarding official drops.

 

 

· T Tuition is due August 30 for Fall 2010 session. You pay directly to campus.  You may not receive a bill from ODU.   You may pay using Leo Online using a credit card or check.

 

 

 

Please DO NOT send tuition payment to the Old Dominion Office at SVHEC; we cannot accept it.

(No overnight or express deliveries are accepted at this address. Note: do not use this address for anything other than tuition payments!)
