UVa-Wise offers bachelor’s degrees in Abingdon at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. Students may enroll in courses leading to degrees in one of the six majors currently available: Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, History, Nursing and Psychology. Students may also complete a thirty credit hour Certificate in Accounting. Abingdon classes are taught by the regular UVa-Wise faculty and are primarily scheduled in the evenings or on weekends to accommodate working adults. Students transfer into the Abingdon program after having completed their lower-level courses at the community college or another four-year college or university.

Program offices are in the Administrative Suite of the HEC. Our normal office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily and we are often here until after classes start each evening. Call ahead if you have a problem that we may be able to research prior to your arrival or if you need an appointment outside of regular hours.
