The degree prepares students for careers or graduate school in economics,
finance, marketing, management, business administration, business education,
law, public administration and entrepreneurship.

Departmental Capstone Requirement
Students majoring in the Department must complete a capstone course during
their final semesters at UVa’s College at Wise. This course, which includes
a comprehensive examination, may be taken after a student has completed
at least six hours of the required major-discipline classes with a grade
of “C -” or better.
