Classrooms
As soon as you are assigned a course in Abingdon, please get dates, times, class
size and your AV needs to us immediately so we can reserve the right type of
room for you. For specific classroom and AV equipment questions, contact

Copies
You can obtain copies from the Administrative Offices or at the Information
Desk. You will be asked to sign a form for account billing purposes.
Facilities
The faculty lounge is located upstairs. Call us to obtain the code to
access the door. This lounge is equipped with restrooms, coffee,
microwave, fridge, and comfortable seating. There are also adjunct faculty
offices located upstairs with computer access. You may lock up your
personal belongings in either of these locations while teaching your class.
Emergencies
For any security issue or medical emergency, dial "O" and tell the operator the
situation, or dial "911" for immediate assistance.
Canceling Classes
If you need to cancel a class:
Email or call your students ASAP
Call and notify the SVHEC
receptionist at (276) 619-4364 and ask them to notify the Site Director.
Coordinate all make-up sessions with
us to secure a room.
If weather is a concern, call SVHEC
at (276)619-4300 to find out if we are open.
Student Information
Please give us list of your student contact information in case of emergencies
and for contact purposes.
Ordering Textbooks
Textbook orders should be made through the Site Director and with as much lead
time as possible. Please use the following form when ordering textbooks:

Please continue to encourage students to register online for courses.
Recruitment
On occasion, we may ask you to talk with and/or meet with prospective students
who are interested in your program.
